noda SERVING AMATEUR THEATRE SINCE 1899 National Operatic and Dramatic Association

Here in the East, we have around 280 society members and around 180 individual members. We are here to provide advice on all aspects of amateur theatre in a Region that closely aligns to East Anglia. Close contact is maintained with Societies by a team of Regional Representatives, whose task is to serve the interests of the Societies and Individual members in their District. By invitation they will visit shows and prepare a report on the productions that they see. They are also happy to present Long Service Awards, sit on audition panels and generally serve as the first port of call when assistance is needed. The National magazine is published on a quarterly basis, and a Regional version is produced twice a year. It is here that I must announce a rearrangement of our information output. The Spring 2009 issue of the Regional magazine will have fewer pages, but will retain its style and shape. It will also include an index of those show reports issued over the previous six months or so, listing by Society and Title, and direct the reader to the NODA East web site where the reports will be found. This step is being taken in recognition of the increasing use of electronic communication, and also to reduce the increasing costs of printing and distribution. It is recognised that members without personal access to the website may feel disadvantaged, but it is hoped that such members who have contact with their local Society can obtain a hard copy of particular reports from that source. If this is not possible please ask your Regional Representative if he/she can provide you with a copy. John Warburton Councillor for East Region We await your call and will be delighted to welcome you on board! ______________________________________ Link to Head Office National Operatic and Dramatic Association ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss If you are unable to open your district reviews download Adobe Reader by clicking on the link below which will enable you to gain access to your report http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Links to shows reviewed to the end of January 2009 and in the following lists:- DISTRICT 1 Rep - MICHAEL WILLIAMSON FEB 09
