Leicestershire 2 - 9 August 2008 The Summer School NODA invites you to an intensive week of quality training courses for amateur theatre practitioners in a wide range of theatrical skills. Work will range from large classes to smaller groups, with students encouraged to develop in depth their confidence and skills by working with professional tutors, some well-known to the school and some new. The school combines new and regular courses including the unique BTEC Technical Skills in Live Entertainment. Over 80 students have completed the BTEC qualification since the course was launched in 2003.The week will include a variety of exciting extras, including evening workshops by a range of experts. NODA is proud to offer yet again another inspiring, innovative programme for 2008. The Venue Loughborough is located in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, with many places of interest nearby, including Belvoir Castle, Calke Abbey & Park, Rutland Water, and many other small towns and villages. It is very close to the M1 (Junction 23) and the A6, East Midlands Airport and the towns of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby which all have superb shopping and nationally recognised theatres (Leicester Haymarket, Nottingham Playhouse and Theatre Royal, Derby Playhouse). The University Campus is set in the heart of the National Forest and is renowned for the quality of its facilities, its English and Drama department and its famous sports courses. There are many lecture theatres and meeting rooms, and the fully equipped Martin Hall Theatre.
